Arkansas Shorts

Arkansas Shorts - A Night of Short FIlm is a showcase of short films created by natives and current residents of Arkansas. Shorts films are 10 minutes or less and span all genres including narrative, documentary, music video and experimental films.

The event, sometimes called the Jewel of January, is one of the most fun, and anticipated events of the year. The Arlington Hotel makes for a fabulous setting and filmmakers and film lovers often wear their Hollywood best! World reknowned portrait photographer, Thomas Petillo will be snapping pictures in between screenings and The Arlington will have a cash bar set up too.

We are thrilled to announce that the upcoming Arkansas Shorts will include expanded programming due to the overwhelming amount of submissions we received. Our screening committee was given the task of filtering through near 1500 short films! There will be three screenings; Teaching & Learning, International and the classic Arkansas Shorts block. Here is the schedule for the evening.

The event is slated for Saturday, January 7, 2017 at The Arlington Hotel in downtown Hot Springs.
